Adams' horse wins fourth straight award
Cowboy Militia endorsee Randon Adams is mounted to defeat. His 11-year-old weapon of choice, Baileys Copper Doc ("Diesel"), was just named PRCA/AQHA Heel Horse of the Year for the fourth straight time!
Diesel was trained by Dusty Drake of Oklahoma, and was green when Adams picked him up in 2005. He packed our man to the PRCA world championship last year, and will be carrying Adams to the big money again this December at the Wrangler NFR.
"You look at the people who are doing well in all the events, and they have good horses," Adams has said. "Diesel has really been a big key to my success."
The chestnut gelding is a great-grandson of Doc Bar and goes to Three Bars and Hollywood Gold on top and to Sugar Bars and the Leo son Flit on the bottom side.
In other Horse of the Year news, the tie-down roping horse ridden by Cowboy Militia endorsee Clint Cooper (Karen Herbst's great horse Sweetness) - earned second-place honors.
