Cowboy Militia Pro Team banks $115,829 at the NFR
December 14, 2009 - Fort Worth, Texas - On Friday night, Cowboy Militia Pro Team member Randon Adams and his partner, Jojo Lemond, roped a steer faster than anyone in the history of the world - 3.4 seconds.
Although their glory as record-holders lasted only five minutes (Chad Masters and Jade Corkill then stopped the clock in 3.3 seconds), they deserve big props!
Adams, the 2008 PRCA world champion heeler, had a great Finals with Lemond. He jumped out to win the first round and went on to earn $57,776 over 10 days to finish fifth in the world.
Meanwhile, Cowboy Militia bull rider Zack Oakes, competing in his first Wrangler NFR, posted a whopping 88.5 points on Hot Diggity Damn to place second in the exciting final round of bull riding. He earned $37,319 on the week and finished sixth in the average.
Fellow bull rider Colin McTaggart, also on the Cowboy Militia team, had his event-best 86 points courtesy of Tokyo Drift in Round 7. McTaggart pulled in $20,734 on the week, and he and Oakes wrapped up their seasons ranked 10th and 11th in the world.
