Lemond, Bright join CM Pro Team
Texas' own 27-year-old heading phenomenon JoJo LeMond has joined the Cowboy Militia Pro Team, alongside his world champ partner, Randon "Rambo" Adams.
LeMond and Adams took the team roping world by storm in 2009 when they became the fifth team in history to rope a steer in the world-record time of 3.5 seconds during their win last spring in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Then, during the ninth round of LeMond's second straight Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the duo bested that time by one-tenth to become the first team ever to rope one in 3.4 seconds. That new record only lasted a matter of minutes before it was broken by Chad Masters and Jade Corkill, who were 3.3, but it still changed history.
Joining LeMond on the Pro Team in 2010 are young-gun bareback riders Casey Colletti of Pueblo, Colo., and Matt Bright, of Azle, Texas, who's currently in the top 10 in the PRCA world standings and leading the Texas Circuit standings. They're hoping to join Adams and LeMond at the 2010 NFR.
LeMond, who has two kids with wife Blair and lives in Andrews, Texas, finished seventh in the world standings in 2008 and moved up to fifth last year, so his goal is to join Adams with a world championship. We have a feeling he'll be competing to defeat all year.
